Terms and conditions of booking
All deposits are 25% of the total fee and are non refundable. We recommend cancellation insurance is taken out at the time of booking.
If guiding is agreed less than 8 weeks before commencement the full amount is required up front.
Bookings will only be confirmed when deposits are received.
The balance of the guiding fee must be paid 8 weeks prior to commencement unless otherwise agreed. A further invoice will be sent nearer the time.
In the unlikely event of your booking being cancelled by Tom Ripley Mountain Guide we will work with you to offer alternative dates, or a full refund.
Tom Ripley Mountain Guide accepts no liability for the consequence of strikes, riots, acts of war or terrorism, disease outbreaks, government intervention, natural disasters or adverse weather conditions.
Personal Mountaineering rescue and medical insurance is compulsory for all clients outside of the UK. Please ensure that insurance covers roped climbing and/or ski mountaineering/touring, and the use of guides.
Every effort will be made to fulfil itineraries as planned, however due to nature of the mountains, weather or other circumstances outside of our control it may cause them to be altered at short notice.
In the event of any damage or loss of loan equipment from Tom Ripley Mountain Guide the client will be responsible for repair or replacement at new cost.
Climbing and mountaineering are hazardous activities and to take part in them involves an acceptance of risk and of responsibility for one’s own actions. Whilst Tom Ripley Mountain Guide always ensure a high professional standard of care, safety and instruction, neither Tom Ripley or any person working for him or with him will not held be responsible for any illness, injury or death sustained during mountain activities, nor will they be liable for any uninsured losses of your property.
Tom Ripley or any person working for him or with him, reserves the right to exclude any client from participation on the planned activity if it is deemed that he or she may endanger the success of the rest of the party through lack of fitness, ill-health, poor acclimatisation, anti social behaviour or dangerous technique. No refund will be offered to those excluded.
Any client who acts in contradiction to the decisions or advice of Tom Ripley or any persons working for or with him must accept responsibility for their own actions.
